This school excels at creating a joyful learning environment where children develop strong academic knowledge from their earliest years. The outstanding teaching of reading, combined with a broad curriculum that includes languages and extensive enrichment activities, ensures pupils are well-rounded and excited about learning. Strong behaviour, high attendance and excellent support for all learners - including those with SEND - make this a school where every child can thrive.

- Exceptionally strong early reading teaching with systematic phonics from Reception - children become confident, fluent readers
- Broad and ambitious curriculum including Mandarin from Year 1 and high take-up of English Baccalaureate
- Excellent support for pupils with SEND - needs identified quickly and learning activities adapted successfully
- Strong focus on developing vocabulary and spoken language across all phases
- Extensive range of clubs, trips and wider learning opportunities including free music lessons and whole-school band
Areas for Improvement
- Sixth-form students do not access as many opportunities to develop talents and interests compared to younger pupils in the school
- A-level outcomes in the sixth form are not currently as high as the rest of the school
