Vernon Park is a happy, caring school where children behave well and enjoy coming to learn. The phonics programme is particularly strong, with many pupils reading fluently by the end of early years. The school is excellent at supporting children with additional needs and ensures every child can participate in enrichment activities regardless of family circumstances.

- High-quality pastoral support for pupils and families, including poverty-proofing so all pupils can access clubs and trips
