- Not all pupils, especially the most able, are consistently challenged with sufficiently difficult work in every class
- Pupils do not always have enough opportunity to write at length to develop their writing skills further
- Quality of teaching needs to improve to be outstanding across the whole school, particularly in Key Stage 1
