In its own words: "Cleethorpes Academy is an 11-16 mixed comprehensive of approximately 850 students. The Academy opened in September 2010 to serve the local Cleethorpes area and was sponsored by Tollbar Academy, an outstanding secondary school. In September 2012, Cleethorpes Academy joined the Lincolnshire Gateway Academies Trust (MAT) Family of Academies as a constituent academy."

From the headteacher's welcome: "We are an over-subscribed, vibrant and inclusive school serving young people and their families primarily from the heart of Cleethorpes. Our ethos is simple. We want our students to be caring. To care about themselves and those around them."
