- Exceptional behaviour and attendance - pupils are respectful, independent learners who support one another, and absence rates are declining
- Strong focus on wellbeing and personal development - pupils learn emotional regulation techniques and develop resilience
- Excellent inclusion and support - pupils with SEND and disadvantaged pupils are welcomed and receive tailored help to access all opportunities
- High-quality early years provision - children settle quickly and develop phonics and number skills to prepare for Year 1
- Ambitious curriculum in core subjects - phonics and numeracy teaching has been refined to help pupils build strong foundations
Areas for Improvement
- Older pupils have gaps in writing skills (spelling, handwriting, grammar) from not benefiting from improved curriculum over time
- Pupils' recall of prior learning in subjects beyond English and maths is not secure enough to build on previous learning
- Assessment in some non-core subjects does not focus sharply enough on the most important knowledge pupils need to learn
- Attainment dipped in 2025 with pupils achieving lower than usual in reading, writing and mathematics
