From the headteacher's welcome: "Welcome to Al-Burhan Grammar School, an Independent academically selective secondary School with an Islamic ethos for girls aged 11-16 in Birmingham. Before the founding of Al-Burhan, I was a University researcher. A colleague of mine came to me with his daughter to help them look for a primary school for her son."
