Curriculum and teaching - Needs attention. "Leaders have worked swiftly to improve the curriculum and place a strong emphasis on language development."

Early years - Needs attention. "The early years curriculum is well structured and progressive, giving children a clear pathway for building important knowledge and skills."

Inclusion - Needs attention. "Pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities and those who are disadvantaged are not consistently supported to achieve well."

In 2025, 66% of Year 6 pupils at Woodlands Primary School reached the expected standard in reading and 74% in maths. At the average state primary the figures were 73% and 69% in Wirral and 77% and 75% across England.
