The college creates a welcoming and inclusive environment where all students feel valued and supported. Teachers are experienced professionals who make lessons interesting and help students develop real-world skills through work experience and employer partnerships. The college works hard to ensure students progress to positive next steps, whether that's further study, university, apprenticeships or employment.

Well-designed curriculums relevant to local and regional priorities, with good employer involvement in most areas
Teachers are knowledgeable, well-qualified with industry experience, and use effective teaching strategies
Most students achieve vocational and technical qualifications and progress to positive destinations

Areas for Improvement

GCSE English and mathematics progress is too slow - students are not developing problem-solving skills quickly enough in some lessons
Attendance at GCSE mathematics and English lessons is lower than at vocational lessons
Some apprenticeships lack employer contribution to teaching
Achievement in a few areas such as construction and health and social care remains below national rates
