From the headteacher's welcome: "Wanstead Church School is a one-form entry Church of England primary school with a Nursery situated in the heart of Wanstead. It is a proudly unique and historic school in the London Borough of Redbridge being the smallest school in the borough and the only Church of England primary school."

This school creates a nurturing environment where children feel safe, cared for and happy. Behaviour is outstanding, with pupils taking pride in roles like lunch monitors and restoration rangers that help the school community. The school goes well beyond basics - every child learns a musical instrument, there are numerous clubs and trips including residential experiences, and the choir performs at venues from care homes to the Royal Albert Hall.
