Ofsted's next steps for the school: "• Leaders should ensure that teachers consistently check pupils' understanding to identify misconceptions and adapt their teaching as necessary. • Leaders should continue to implement, monitor and refine their strategies for improving attendance in order to further narrow the gaps in the rates of attendance across different pupil groups. • Leaders should make sure that pupils have sufficient opportunities to learn the full content of the personal development programme and have wider access to the richness of the enrichment offer".

In 2026, pupils at Twickenham School averaged an Attainment 8 score of 48.9, the average grade across their best eight GCSEs. The average state school scored 56.8 in Richmond upon Thames and 47 across England.

39% passed English and maths at grade 5 or above, against 65% in Richmond upon Thames and 47% in England.

For September 2026 entry, 84 families put Twickenham School as their first choice and 447 named it as one of their preferences, for 226 places offered. It had fewer first-choice applications than places. Every family who put it first was offered a place there for 2026 entry.
