Redby Academy in detail

Redby Academy in its own words

In its own words: "Queen Victoria was on the throne, Mafeking was under siege, the nineteenth century was coming to a close and it was a cold, windy Friday. Such was the day, 1st December 1899, when Redby opened its doors for the very first time. Famous dignitaries turned up that day. In attendance were members of the local School Board including Messrs."

From the headteacher's welcome: "On behalf of all pupils, staff and Governors I wish to welcome you to Redby Academy. Redby is a mainstream primary school offering provision to children from 3 - 11 years."
