Personal development and wellbeing - Expected standard. "Personal development and wellbeing are taught hand-in-hand with the school's values through the ‘values strategy'."

Achievement - Needs attention. "In national assessments, such as GCSEs, pupils do not achieve as well as they should."

Safeguarding standards were met.

Ofsted's next steps for the school: "• Leaders should maintain careful checks to ensure that their range of new strategies are having the intended impact. This needs to result in all pupils, including pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities and disadvantaged pupils, achieving well in national assessments such as GCSEs and BTECs. • Leaders should ensure that pupils are readied for their continued education by ensuring that support for writing and oracy enables all pupils to consistently use, apply and develop their knowledge, both orally and in their written work".

From the headteacher's welcome: "Oakmoor School is a brand new, state of the art secondary school situated in a 22 acre tree lined site on the edge of the South Downs National Park. We are a friendly, vibrant school with high standards and expectations."

In 2026, pupils at Oakmoor School averaged an Attainment 8 score of 44.2, the average grade across their best eight GCSEs. The average state school scored 45.6 in Hampshire and 47 across England.

46% passed English and maths at grade 5 or above, against 43% in Hampshire and 47% in England.

That is up from 38.7 in 2025.
