In its own words: "Green Park aims to provide access to high quality education and learning experiences, both in school and in the community and seeks to maximise each pupil's achievement as part of his or her lifelong learning. It is the school's aim to be a centre of Educational Excellence in the heart of the community."
From the headteacher's welcome: "Our vision statement is 'Learning for Life'. At Green Park we meet the needs of pupils aged 3-19 years with complex and profound learning difficulties and provide a range of teaching groups offering different learning styles. We work hard to ensure pupils are successful and we celebrate and recognise achievement and effort in all areas of the curriculum."

What This School Does Well
Green Park School excels at helping pupils communicate and participate in school life through specialist approaches like eye-gaze technology and Makaton. Teachers use creative, engaging methods to help pupils learn, and the school provides wonderful opportunities beyond the classroom - from residential visits to horse riding - that build confidence and independence. Staff are caring, well-trained and deeply understand each pupil's needs.
