Ofsted's report card from its 30 June 2026 inspection grades Fowey Primary School on 7 areas: 7 expected standard. Report cards replaced single-word judgements in November 2025, on a five-point scale from exceptional to urgent improvement.

Early years - Expected standard. "Since the previous inspection, the trust has invested significantly in the early years."

Inclusion - Expected standard. "The school's inclusive ethos is demonstrated through the positive relationships staff forge with pupils and their families."

Leadership and governance - Expected standard. "Leaders and the trust have made every effort to insulate pupils from the instability caused by leadership changes."

Personal development and wellbeing - Expected standard. "Warm relationships between adults and pupils support personal development in this small school."

Safeguarding standards were met.

The school runs a breakfast club and after-school care, from £2.50 per session.

In 2025, 84% of Year 6 pupils at Fowey Primary School reached the expected standard in reading and 58% in maths. At the average state primary the figures were 76% and 73% in Cornwall and 77% and 75% across England.

Results were similar in 2024 (76% in reading, 66% in maths).
