Channing School in detail

Channing School in its own words

In its own words: "Although we enjoy the benefits of our location in Highgate, we are not what you might expect from a North London girls’ school. For Channing, the words ‘Girls Enjoying Success’ are so much more than a mere strapline; they are the shorthand for the unique educational philosophy that we offer."

From the headteacher's welcome: "Channing is a happy, purposeful place of intellectual enquiry and personal discovery for girls aged 4 to 18. As one of North London’s longest-established all girls schools, we have always believed that girls thrive when given the space, voice and confidence to be themselves."

Clubs and activities named on the school's website include football, netball, rugby, hockey, cricket, tennis, athletics, gymnastics, swimming and cross-country.

The school runs after-school care.

Coming up: an open day on Tuesday 3 November 2026 and an open evening on Tuesday 3 November 2026. Check the school's website before you go, as dates can change.
