Bridge House School has successfully transformed its approach to teaching and learning since March 2025. The school now has clear, well-planned curriculum with staff trained to meet the specific needs of every pupil, particularly those with autism and social, emotional and mental health difficulties. Teachers use a range of effective strategies and supportive equipment to help pupils engage successfully, and all pupils receive personalised support linked to their EHC plan targets.

  • Staff receive ongoing training to deliver curriculum effectively and adapt learning activities to individual pupil needs
  • Strong phonics programme with early reading interventions - all staff trained and pupils assessed on entry
  • EHC plan targets are now integral to the taught curriculum for all pupils
  • Effective use of supportive strategies and apparatus to help pupils engage and learn
