Valentines High School: admissions history

For September 2026 entry, 280 families put Valentines High School as their first choice and 1236 named it as one of their preferences, for 171 places offered. That is 1.6 first choices for every place. 138 families who put it first were not offered a place there.

First-choice demand has risen from 239 in 2021 to 280 in 2026, while places went from 170 to 171.

Across Redbridge, 68% of families were offered their first-choice secondary school for 2026 entry, and 93% were offered one of the schools they named.

In 2025, families in Redbridge lodged 199 appeals against secondary school offers; 167 reached a hearing and 10 succeeded (6% of those heard).
