The academy uses trauma-informed teaching methods and provides realistic, hands-on vocational training that gives learners genuine confidence and employability skills. With strong staff expertise and tailored support, most learners successfully progress to apprenticeships or employment.

- Expert trauma-informed practice and highly inclusive culture that makes learners feel safe and supported
- Strong vocational teaching with specialist staff who adapt learning well for learners with SEND and complex needs
- Excellent progression outcomes with most learners moving to apprenticeships, further learning or employment
- Well-designed bespoke study programmes aligned to regional employment opportunities
- High-quality resources including realistic working environments (motor vehicle workshop with real clients, land-based animals)
Areas for Improvement
- Some learners who would benefit from external work experience placements do not have access to them
- Subcontracted hairdressing and beauty provision does not fully embed standard industry practices (e.g. safe scissor handling)
- Personal development programme at subcontractor site needs strengthening to match quality at main site
- Staffing challenges in mathematics affecting provision
