- Teaching quality is inconsistent and marking does not always guide pupils on how to improve
- Teachers do not always use pupil progress information to plan lessons that challenge the most able
- Some safety hazards were identified during inspection that compromised pupil safety

Safeguarding requires improvement as most systems and policies are sound, but some day-to-day safety details are missed such as unsafe physical education mats.
