St Martin's is a welcoming, inclusive school where Christian values shape everything the school does. Teachers know their pupils well and use this knowledge to support their learning and wellbeing. The school has made reading a priority, with engaging phonics teaching from nursery onwards that helps all children progress.
Key Strengths
- Strong focus on reading with effective phonics teaching from early years through key stage 2
- Pupils with SEND, particularly those in the resource base, receive good support and are fully included in school life
- Well-established behaviour expectations with clear routines that pupils understand and follow
