St John's Church of England Academy in detail
St John's Church of England Academy in its own words
In its own words: "At St John's, our vision is "I will shine!", theologically rooted in our key Bible verse, Matthew 5:16: "Let your light shine before others." We believe every child has a unique light to share, and we are committed to helping every pupil discover their strengths, develop their character and flourish."
From the headteacher's welcome: "A song written and composed by Gareth Withers, with the help of the amazing children of St John's. The entirety of the song was created remotely during the Covid-19 lockdown. As part of Remote Learning, the children were tasked with creating the lyrics, linked to our vision and values. We are very proud of this."
