Achievement - Needs attention. "Over time, pupils at the school have not performed as well as they should in national tests, particularly in reading and writing."

Curriculum and teaching - Needs attention. "In some subjects, teaching is not focused sharply enough on the important knowledge and vocabulary that pupils need to learn and remember."

Early years - Needs attention. "In the past, too many children have not secured important foundational knowledge in reading, writing and mathematics in the early years."

Safeguarding standards were met.

In 2025, 61% of Year 6 pupils at Renishaw Primary School reached the expected standard in reading and 74% in maths. At the average state primary the figures were 76% and 73% in Derbyshire and 77% and 75% across England.
