This school creates a warm, welcoming environment where children thrive academically and personally. The reading programme is excellent, with consistent phonics teaching helping all children progress. Staff genuinely know and support each child, with particular strength in helping pupils with additional needs access the full curriculum.

- Reading is a priority with all staff trained in phonics, delivered consistently, and pupils who fall behind catch up quickly
- Teachers regularly check pupils' understanding and adapt teaching, particularly well demonstrated in mathematics where learning clearly builds year on year
