What This School Does Well
Learning for Life creates a welcoming, purposeful environment where learners with significant anxiety thrive and feel safe. Staff are passionate about equipping students with life skills through real-world learning - such as identifying shop signs, understanding road safety and developing confidence in social interactions. Learners develop noticeably increased independence and resilience during their time at the college.

- Effective strategies to help learners with anxiety and challenging behaviour thrive -
- Good progress towards individual targets and development of independence and resilience -
- Well-structured teaching with logical curriculum progression, especially in English
Areas for Improvement
- Too many reading books provided to learners are not age appropriate -
- Need to increase links with employers to expand work placement opportunities -
- Low proportion of learners achieving functional skills English and mathematics qualifications (though new portfolio-based approach shows early promise)
