- Exceptional behaviour and attendance - pupils are very respectful, polite, and attendance rates consistently exceed national averages
- Highly inclusive approach with strong support for vulnerable pupils, those with SEND, and disadvantaged children
- Strong focus on basic skills development including phonics, reading, spelling and number facts
- Well-planned curriculum based on educational research with clear emphasis on professional learning for staff
- Comprehensive extra-curricular provision and enrichment activities that enhance pupils' cultural understanding
Areas for Improvement
- Teaching of letter formation and handwriting requires improvement - leaders have plans in place to address this
- Some teaching does not make effective-enough use of pupil assessment information to inform what and when to teach
- In some aspects of personal development, pupils' understanding is less deep than it could be
- Occasional inconsistency in early years staff making full use of their expertise to support language development
