What This School Does Well

Infiniti School excels at welcoming pupils who have missed significant schooling and rebuilding their confidence and love of learning. The school creates a genuinely caring community where each pupil feels valued, with outstanding opportunities for personal development including residential experiences. Staff are skilled at managing behaviour and emotions, allowing pupils to thrive academically while making excellent progress in attendance and positive attitudes.

Key Strengths

  • Exceptional personal development opportunities including residential trips and rich enrichment activities that build confidence and social skills
  • Highly effective pastoral care with staff who quickly build strong relationships and respond immediately to pupil concerns
  • Strong focus on reading with well-trained staff, refreshed libraries, and enjoyable daily paired reading sessions
  • Bespoke, individualised timetables that reflect each pupil's learning needs and include therapies and off-site activities
  • Pupils' behaviour and attendance improve significantly over time, supported by clear expectations and reward trips

Areas for Improvement

  • Limited opportunities for pupils to practise and develop writing and speaking skills across the curriculum, meaning some pupils do not become sufficiently fluent
  • Assessment information is not used consistently to plan well-matched learning activities - in many subjects, activities are not adapted to pupils' needs, causing over-reliance on adult support
  • More needs to be done to ensure teaching approaches in most subjects are as precisely adapted as the best examples (such as in art)

Safeguarding

Safeguarding arrangements are effective, with clear systems in place and staff who respond promptly to concerns, creating a culture where pupils feel safe and trust adults.

Extracurricular Activities

Residential sailing trip, off-site activities and visits, careers lessons and workplace visits, reading ambassadors, attendance ambassadors, Gypsy Roma and Traveller community ambassadors, reward trips for positive behaviour and attendance

Infiniti School is a small independent special school for pupils aged 11-19 with social, emotional and mental health needs. The school provides a warm, welcoming environment where pupils who have experienced disrupted education are re-engaged in learning and achieve well.
