- Science attainment needs to continue improving - Year 6 pupils' attainment was slightly below national figures in 2016
- Pupils' writing skills still need further development, particularly for boys
- System for recording vetting checks on staff needs to be clearer and more rigorously monitored
- Communication with some parents could be strengthened - a small group still hold negative views
