Hollycroft is an exceptionally caring and inclusive school where every child is valued and supported to succeed. The early years provision is outstanding, with children developing confidence and language skills quickly through skilled teaching and play-based learning. All pupils, including those with additional needs, thrive in a calm, respectful environment where behaviour is exemplary and bullying is not tolerated.

Areas for Improvement

  • Inconsistency in how teaching builds on strong foundations, particularly in writing and mathematics
  • Pupils do not always apply the same care and accuracy in their daily writing as they do in high-quality work
  • Misconceptions such as errors in letter and digit formation and incorrect spelling are not always addressed promptly
