In its own words: "Harston & Newton Primary first opened its doors in 1877. One of our Key Stage 2 classes is still taught in the original Victorian building, which also houses our music room. We are a small village school. Numbers vary year to year, but we always ensure the best possible arrangements for our pupils."

From the headteacher's welcome: "Situated at the centre of the village of Harston our school has been serving the local community since it was opened in 1877. The school has expanded over the years and now has seven classrooms, a Pre-school, its own outdoor swimming pool and an extensive playing field."
