Inclusion - Expected standard. "When pupils start at the school, either in the early years, or midway through the school, staff take time to get to know them and their families well."

Leadership and governance - Expected standard. "Leaders know the school well."

Personal development and wellbeing - Expected standard. "There is a firm focus on teaching pupils social skills, cooperation, resilience and conflict resolution."

Achievement - Needs attention. "There is too much of a gap between the achievement of disadvantaged pupils and their national peers, as well as with those who are non-disadvantaged."

Safeguarding standards were met.

In 2025, 74% of Year 6 pupils at Fawcett Primary School reached the expected standard in reading and 70% in maths. At the average state primary the figures were 76% and 74% in Cambridgeshire and 77% and 75% across England.

Results rose from 66% in reading and 68% in maths in 2024.

For September 2026 entry, 28 families put Fawcett Primary School as their first choice and 77 named it as one of their preferences, for 40 places offered. It had fewer first-choice applications than places. Every family who put it first was offered a place there for 2026 entry.
