What This School Does Well
Faith Primary creates a truly caring community where every child feels known, valued and safe. The school excels at making learning fun and accessible for all pupils, with exceptional music provision where every child learns an instrument, plus a wonderful allotment where pupils grow and cook their own food. Staff provide outstanding pastoral care and support for vulnerable pupils, helping them overcome barriers so they can be ready to learn and thrive.
Key Strengths
- Exceptional attendance and behaviour - significantly above national averages with calm, respectful conduct throughout the school
- Highly inclusive ethos where pupils with SEND, disadvantaged pupils and those in care feel valued and participate fully
- Extensive personal development programme including music, sport, cultural events and community involvement that builds confident, resilient pupils
Areas for Improvement
- Achievement remains inconsistent - too many pupils do not retain essential knowledge needed to progress, with outcomes below national averages at key stage 2
- Teachers sometimes do not check what pupils already know, meaning gaps in learning widen and subject vocabulary is not fully grasped
- Early years teaching is sometimes less effective, with staff not always revisiting and reinforcing important learning for some children
Safeguarding
Safeguarding standards are met with an open and positive culture where all legal requirements are fulfilled and concerns are actively identified and managed.
Extracurricular Activities
Music (every child learns an instrument and performs on stage), sport, cultural events, school allotment, cooking with catering staff, library visits, school council, anti-social behaviour campaigns, road safety campaign, local park design project
Faith Primary Academy is a caring, inclusive school where pupils thrive in a supportive community with strong attendance and behaviour. The school offers extensive personal development opportunities, though achievement remains inconsistent across year groups and some pupils are not making sufficient progress.
