What This School Does Well

Earlsdon is a creative, nurturing school where children develop independent thinking skills and the whole child is valued, not just academic abilities. The school has strong community links with parents, staff and governors working together effectively, and provides excellent pastoral care that supports vulnerable pupils and those with additional needs. Pupils enjoy an exciting range of lessons and activities with improving outcomes across reading, writing and mathematics.

  • Effective safeguarding with a strong culture led by the deputy headteacher
  • Improving pupil outcomes in reading, writing and mathematics, with Year 6 achievement consistently above national average

Areas for Improvement

  • School website is not fully up to date and does not comply with Department for Education statutory requirements
  • Consistency of marking and feedback policy across classrooms needs improvement
  • Challenge for the most able pupils could be increased in some classrooms
