In its own words: "We are a two form entry community school for children aged from three up to eleven. Many of our pupils live locally from within our catchment area, however, we always welcome children from out of catchment whose families are willing to travel to benefit from the standard of education we provide."

From the headteacher's welcome: "Burnt Tree is a caring, friendly school where everyone matters. The only way to really appreciate our school is by visiting and meeting our wonderful children and staff. Burnt Tree Primary is a nurturing school and we are especially proud of the high standards of behaviour of our children."

The school runs a breakfast club from 7:45am and after-school care.

In 2025, 74% of Year 6 pupils at Burnt Tree Primary School reached the expected standard in reading and 67% in maths. At the average state primary the figures were 76% and 75% in Sandwell and 77% and 75% across England.
