Burghclere Primary is particularly strong at teaching reading from the very start of Reception, with all staff trained in high-quality phonics. The school is genuinely ambitious for all pupils, including those with special needs, adapting the curriculum so everyone can succeed. Children develop into respectful, confident learners who understand and respect people from different cultures and backgrounds.
