Leadership and governance - Expected standard. "In recent times, the school has experienced significant change, including the appointment of a new headteacher and new staff."

Personal development and wellbeing - Expected standard. "Pupils have a broad and coherent personal development programme."

Safeguarding standards were met.

In 2025, 89% of Year 6 pupils at Barnston Primary School reached the expected standard in reading and 87% in maths. At the average state primary the figures were 73% and 69% in Wirral and 77% and 75% across England.
