The school has successfully transformed many pupils' attitudes to school, with excellent attendance improvements and pupils showing growing confidence and resilience through a range of engaging activities.

Key Strengths

  • Strong focus on attendance and behaviour with well-planned transition processes and nurture-based approaches that help pupils settle and build positive relationships with staff

Areas for Improvement

  • Curriculum lacks clear structure and progression in subjects beyond English, mathematics and science, with lessons sometimes taught in isolation
  • Achievement across the full curriculum breadth needs improvement - pupils don't make consistent progress in all subjects
  • Limited understanding of pupils' starting points and gaps in knowledge affects how well academic support is tailored
  • Careers education is not yet a coherent programme - individual events inspire but don't form a structured pathway
  • Some gaps remain in pupils' understanding of cultural diversity and different faiths

Safeguarding

Safeguarding standards are met - the school has created an open, positive culture of safeguarding with all legal requirements fulfilled, making pupils safer and helping them feel safe.

Extracurricular Activities

Swimming, kayaking, outdoor sports, team-building challenges, fishing, animal care experiences, Naval base visit

All's Well is a specialist school for pupils with complex social, emotional and mental health needs. The school has made a strong start in creating a safe, nurturing environment where pupils feel cared for and want to attend.
