Winterton Junior School is a warm, friendly place where children are proud to learn. Teachers are highly skilled at helping all pupils, including those with additional needs, access a rich and ambitious curriculum that makes learning stick. The school places great value on developing children's character and well-being alongside their academic progress.

  • Ambitious, well-sequenced curriculum with strong teaching that helps pupils know and remember more - learning is enriched by theatre trips and visits to interesting locations
  • Excellent support for reading - pupils quickly become confident, fluent readers and develop a love of literature
  • Consistently high behaviour expectations with respectful relationships - pupils are polite and feel safe with clear systems to address bullying concerns
