- Effective inclusion and support for pupils with SEND, who are well catered for and access the full curriculum successfully
- Well-sequenced curriculum that identifies important knowledge and skills pupils need to learn over time
- Engaging personal development programme including enrichment activities such as gardening, choir, arts and sporting clubs
Areas for Improvement
- Some staff in English and mathematics do not deliver the curriculum as consistently well as leaders intend
- Not all checks on pupils' learning are effective enough - some staff miss opportunities to extend and deepen understanding during lessons
- Some pupils do not secure key handwriting, spelling and punctuation skills in writing before moving on to more complex work
- Targets for pupils with SEND in pupil passports are sometimes too general and not sharply focused enough
