Ofsted's report card from its 28 April 2026 inspection grades Wansdyke School on 7 areas: 5 strong standard and 2 expected standard. Report cards replaced single-word judgements in November 2025, on a five-point scale from exceptional to urgent improvement.

Inclusion - Strong standard. "Leaders and staff identify additional barriers to pupils' learning and wellbeing at an early stage and review these as pupils' needs change."

Leadership and governance - Strong standard. "Leaders have a thorough understanding of the quality of provision across all areas of school."

Curriculum and teaching - Expected standard. "Leaders have a thorough understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of the curriculum and of how it is taught."

Personal development and wellbeing - Expected standard. "The school provides a thorough programme of personal development."

Safeguarding standards were met.

Our school aims are centred around inspiring pupils, igniting passion and excitement throughout the curriculum as well as developing children with grit, empathy, independence and positivity so that they thrive in secondary school, and are able to adapt in the changing world they grow up in."

The school runs a breakfast club from 7:35am and after-school care, from £4 per day.

In 2025, 64% of Year 6 pupils at Wansdyke School reached the expected standard in reading and 64% in maths. At the average state primary the figures were 75% and 73% in Wiltshire and 77% and 75% across England.

Results fell from 77% in reading and 74% in maths in 2024.
