- Pupils' errors in writing are not always addressed quickly, which limits how securely some pupils develop their writing skills
- In some subjects, pupils do not produce work of the same high quality as in reading, writing and mathematics lessons
- Attendance increased for disadvantaged pupils and those with SEND in the previous year, though leaders' actions are now having positive impact
