Curriculum and teaching - Expected standard. "The school's curriculum is broad and well structured, starting in the early years."

Leadership and governance - Expected standard. "Leaders evaluate the school's work with honesty and accuracy."

Safeguarding standards were met.

Ofsted's next steps for the school: "• Leaders should ensure consistent implementation of the handwriting curriculum across year groups and that staff routinely identify and address errors, so pupils embed early writing skills securely. • Leaders should continue to focus sharply on attendance, sustaining and refining actions to reduce persistent absence for key groups, including disadvantaged pupils and those with special educational needs and/or disabilities".

In 2025, 93% of Year 6 pupils at Walton-on-the-Hill Primary School reached the expected standard in reading and 82% in maths. At the average state primary the figures were 81% and 79% in Surrey and 77% and 75% across England.

Results were similar in 2024 (90% in reading, 83% in maths).
