- Challenge provided to pupils - particularly disadvantaged pupils - is not consistently high enough across all lessons
- Progress in mathematics at the end of Year 6 dropped below national average in 2018 and needs to improve further
- Teachers need to ensure all pupils, including disadvantaged pupils, make better progress in mathematics from their starting points
