UTC Portsmouth is exceptional at inspiring pupils to aim high and develop genuine STEM skills through real-world projects - for example, pupils have designed Portsmouth's sea defences. The school transforms educational outcomes for disadvantaged pupils and those with additional needs, ensuring they progress as well as their peers. With nearly all students progressing to top universities or quality apprenticeships, the school provides an exceptional launchpad for pupils' futures.

  • Excellent relationships with employers and universities ensuring curriculum meets industry standards and real-world project opportunities
  • Outstanding attendance and behaviour, with pupils showing high respect and professionalism
  • Highly effective support for disadvantaged pupils and those with special educational needs, with rapidly closing achievement gaps
  • Strong outcomes with around 90% of post-16 students accepted to first-choice universities, with nearly a third attending Russell Group universities
