This is a caring, inclusive community where children feel valued and happy. Staff provide excellent pastoral support and the school creates a calm, orderly environment where behaviour is positive. Children with additional needs receive tailored, effective support that helps them progress from their starting points.

Areas for Improvement
- Achievement is below national averages in phonics checks, multiplication tables and key stage 2 reading and writing
- Teaching quality is inconsistent across the curriculum, particularly in mixed-age classes - changes made are not yet fully embedded
- Checks of pupils' work do not consistently identify spelling and grammar errors
- Pupils' recall of PSHE knowledge is inconsistent, particularly regarding protected characteristics and British values
- Governors do not challenge leaders with sufficient rigour to ensure strategic targeting of improvements
