The school excels at creating a warm, nurturing environment where every child is highly valued and known well by staff. Children develop excellent behaviour and social skills through high-quality relationships and exemplary teaching practices.

Key Strengths

  • Children make rapid and sustained progress, especially in early reading skills with most identifying first sounds in words and the most able beginning to read
  • Teaching is outstanding with teachers and adults very knowledgeable about the Early Years Foundation Stage, planning activities that excite children
  • Children's behaviour is exemplary - they play exceptionally well together, talk about what they are doing, and use equipment safely
  • Specialist resource unit (Dragonflies) is excellent with children with complex communication needs making rapid progress through accurate assessment
