This school excels at creating a warm, welcoming environment where children and families feel cared for. Staff work hard to help children develop strong relationships and emotional skills, and parents speak very positively about how the school looks after their child. The school is ambitious and working hard to improve, with particular strengths in helping children develop communication skills and supporting their personal development.

- Children develop well emotionally, learning about their feelings and getting on well together through clear routines and high expectations for behaviour
- Ambitious approach to developing children's communication and vocabulary skills, with positive adult-child interactions that model language well
- Identification of children with special educational needs is swift and partnership with parents is strong
- High quality pastoral support for both children and parents
Areas for Improvement
- Curriculum in some subjects is not detailed enough - children need clearer step-by-step learning plans to build knowledge over time
- Staff do not consistently adapt the curriculum for children with SEND, meaning some of these children don't learn as well as they could
- The learning environment doesn't fully support all areas of learning - there are fewer opportunities for children to engage in expressive arts and design
- Governors do not provide enough challenge and support to drive school improvement quickly enough
