What This School Does Well

The Grange is a welcoming, inclusive school where every child feels they belong. Staff build warm, caring relationships with pupils from the early years onwards, and the school has a strong focus on personal development and wellbeing. Reading is celebrated across the school, with pupils achieving well in phonics and developing a genuine love of books.

Key Strengths

  • Strong inclusive culture with excellent support for pupils with SEND and disadvantaged pupils
  • Personal development and wellbeing is a particular strength, with pupils understanding school values and demonstrating kindness and respect
  • Phonics teaching in Key Stage 1 is consistent and effective, with pupils achieving in line with national outcomes
  • Warm, supportive relationships between staff and pupils create a calm, caring atmosphere
  • Clear behaviour expectations with positive impact - reduced incidents and suspensions
