Key Strengths

  • Strong sense of community with excellent care and support for all pupils, especially disadvantaged pupils and those with SEND
  • High-quality reading instruction using systematic phonics approach, resulting in most pupils becoming fluent and accurate readers
  • Well-developed curriculum with clear knowledge and skills progression, supported by staff training to improve subject knowledge
  • Pupils display excellent behaviour, respect and tolerance towards each other
  • Strong leadership at all levels, with effective support and challenge from the trust

Areas for Improvement

  • Staff do not consistently adapt learning activities well enough for pupils with SEND across the curriculum, meaning these pupils do not progress as well as their peers
