What This School Does Well

St Ann's creates a warm, supportive community where children thrive both academically and personally. The school goes above and beyond with impressive enrichment activities and a real focus on developing well-rounded, confident young people ready for secondary school.

Key Strengths

  • Pupils behave exceptionally well with impeccable behaviour and excellent courtesy throughout the school day

  • Early years provision is outstanding with children quickly absorbing routines and values

Areas for Improvement

  • In a small number of foundation subjects, recall opportunities to revisit previous learning are not effective enough, making it difficult for pupils to remember what they have been taught over time

St Ann's Church of England Primary School is a kind and caring community where pupils are very happy and behave exceptionally well. The school has an ambitious curriculum with high-quality teaching, particularly in reading, writing and mathematics, and provides outstanding personal development opportunities.
