In its own words: "At Springwood we understand that everyone has a duty to 'actively promote' the fundamental British values of democracy , the rule of law , individual liberty , and mutual respect and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs. These values were first set out by the government in the 'Prevent' strategy in 2011."

From the headteacher's welcome: "School is a place for children to come to learn, explore and have fun. We know that happy children engage better and are more likely to be successful. We celebrate uniqueness and promote individuality whilst working with children to develop their life skills and support them to understand the expectations needed to be successful."

The school runs a breakfast club from 7:45am and after-school care, from £3 per session.

In 2025, 37% of Year 6 pupils at Springwood Primary Academy reached the expected standard in reading and 53% in maths. At the average state primary the figures were 72% and 72% in Rotherham and 77% and 75% across England.

Results fell from 70% in reading and 75% in maths in 2024.
