- Not all pupils are challenged enough in lessons - some in Years 2, 3 and 4 find work too easy in mathematics and English
- Writing still needs development to help more pupils achieve the highest standards
- The gap in achievement for disadvantaged pupils is not narrowing quickly enough across all classes
